This is my weekend football acca for 3 October 2026. I’ve picked four selections from Saturday’s UEFA Nations League and League Two fixtures.
This week’s acca combines two international favourites with two League Two home selections.
Below I’ve explained the reasoning behind each pick, followed by a direct link to add the full four-fold to your QuinnBet betslip.
This Week’s 4-Leg Acca
⚽ Switzerland — Win vs Slovenia
⚽ Grimsby Town — Win vs Shrewsbury Town
⚽ Chesterfield — Win vs Tranmere Rovers
⚽ Iceland — Win vs Bulgaria
Combined odds at publication: 4/1
- Switzerland 2/7
- Grimsby 4/6
- Chesterfield 4/6
- Iceland 2/5
Switzerland v Slovenia — Switzerland to Win
Switzerland have started their Nations League campaign very strongly, recording consecutive 3–0 victories over North Macedonia and Scotland. Slovenia have also made a reasonable start, but Switzerland’s current form and home advantage make them my selection here.
Grimsby Town v Shrewsbury Town — Grimsby to Win
Grimsby have shown decent home form recently, including back-to-back 2–0 home wins over Crawley and Bristol Rovers. They come into this after a 2–1 defeat at Newport, while Shrewsbury have had a mixed run and have lost three of their last six matches across League Two and the EFL Trophy. I’m backing Grimsby to respond at Blundell Park.
Chesterfield v Tranmere Rovers — Chesterfield to Win
Chesterfield have won three of their last five matches in all competitions and have been scoring regularly, including a 2–0 win over York and a 5–3 EFL Trophy victory over Manchester City U21. Tranmere have been difficult to break down, so this isn’t a straightforward leg, but home advantage makes Chesterfield the pick for me.
Iceland v Bulgaria — Iceland to Win
Iceland come into this after an impressive 3–0 Nations League victory over Luxembourg. Bulgaria, meanwhile, were held 0–0 by Estonia in their most recent match. With Iceland at home and carrying the stronger recent result, I’m siding with them to take the three points.
